"Good quality and a solid performer" 2009-07-02

I have owned different variations (with & without hose) of this air gauge for years. It is made of brass with 4 moving parts. It is accurate, consistent and reasonably priced. The quality and durability are very good for an air gauge in this price range. Remember, when buying an air gauge, the pressure you plan to use it for needs to be in the middle of the range of the gauge for best accuracy. If you are checking car tires in the 28-35 PSI range you want to buy a 0-60 PSI gauge. If you are using it on trailer and truck tires that operated at 45-60 PSI you want a 0-100 PSI gauge. Also, when checking tires it is best to check them when the tires are cold. The recommended pressures stamped on the side of the tires, in the owner's manual etc. are for cold tires. When driving the tire temperature rises due to heat generated by friction so any reading you take when the tires are hot will be high and not accurate.

 "Good cheap gauge" 2009-02-28
By Slasher (California, USA)
I bought 3 of these and the all Mark within 0.5 PSI from each other. I have yet to test it against my professional Morosso Gauge.

It is very easy to use if your piston is facing directly at you, which is on most wheels. I have no air leakage problem with any of them. For all of the above I would have given it a 5 star.

But it feels flimsy. The clear plastic on the front is not very strong and the whole thing doesn't have the finish of a high precision device. For that I would give it a 3 star.

But because it is cheap and you can get the boot for it, making it much stronger, I gave it 4 stars.

FYI: it has a 2" dial face in diameter and 1" deep.

I would buy again and I would recommend, but don't expect me to go racing with these.

PS: Get it with the gauge boot!

"Great until you drop it" 2008-09-22
By Richard Doyle (Fairfax, VA)
I dropped the unit when checking a tire's pressure (~6 inches off the ground) and the unit immediately stopped working. Dropping any precision instrument can't be good for it, but the fall wasn't all that high or hard and I thought it should have been able to handle it. It's an inexpensive unit and it seemed to work fine before the fall, so I'll most likely purchase another to replace it and be a little more careful next time.

"Good gauge at a good price point " 2008-06-06

Gauge works great , very easy to read the exact pressure as it holds the pressure reading until you release it. The bleeder is good but doesnt release air very fast at all ( approx 1/10th of a pound per second ) ,which was weird having never used one with a push button bleeder. Thought it would be faster but it will help get pressure exactly on the dot. Would buy again. Only slight cons are it should have a protective boot included and the brassy outside looks too gold like and doesn't look like it will maitain its look for a long time. I personally don't care about that much but worth noting.

BTW I got the $40 moroso gauge - this one was within a pound and so was my $1 Victor dial gauge for the local auto store lol.

 "Dissapointed" 2006-08-31
By Rusty Bedsprings (Saint Paul, MN USA)
A tire pressure gauge only has to do one thing well. That is to accurately measure the air pressure inside the tire. My Accugage was reading 5 PSI high when tested alongside a calibrated pressure transducer. That's why I give it only one star.
