Mediocre tire gauge that quit working after 1 year. Replaced the batteries to no effect. Will attempt to return it to this company, but from other posts, it looks like nothing will happen as they seem unresponsive.

This is a great system for my motorhome. Accurate and easy enough to hook up. The case is a bit big but then I have to room so I've left it for now. Easy and inexpensive and it works. Nice combo IMHO.

Gauge failed after one month of use, suppect Lithum battery. Tried contacting Accutire warranty by their internet site but that was useless.
Returned gauge per printed instructions (using certified mail so I know they got it ) over one month ago and still no response to either calls or e-mail.

Longacre racing liquid filled tire air pressure gauges. At Last A Liquid Filled Tire Gauge That Works Right! 2 1/2" Deluxe Gauge with protective bumper which holds pressure reading until released. Glow-in-the-Dark dial face and 17" hose with swivel chuck. Specially designed vent button to equalize pressure and maintain gauge accuracy. Liquid filled gauges have many advantages. But they can change readings by as much as 2-3 psi if the temperature changes. All pressure gauges liquid filled and regular - need to be vented to the outside to read accurately. If not vented, as the surrounding temperature changes, they will build up pressure inside and affect the accuracy - by as much as 2-3 psi. But if a liquid filled gauge is vented it will leak on your hands and in your tool box. Some manufacturers aren't aware of this and don't vent the gauge. You then have to deal with the variation in accuracy. From Longacre comes the simple answer to this problem. We have installed a specially designed pressure equalizer button on the top of the gauge. Before you use the gauge just push this button. Instantly any temperature-caused pressure difference will be eliminated and you will be guaranteed the most accurate readings possible. If you have a liquid filled tire gauge prove it to yourself. Take your gauge that has been in a cool place and in the typical range you use. Then take the gauge and put it out in the sun for about 45 minutes, as would happen during a race. Then recheck the tire that is still in the cool place. You will see that the reading has changed. You know that the pressure in the tire is the same so the gauge reading must now be off. How will this affect your handling to have tire pressures high or low by several psi? What's worse is that you don't know at what temp the gauge is actually correct. It depends on the temp in the factory when it was manufactured. You could remove the rubber fill plug on the gauge. But then the liquid would leak out.

This is the only digital I have found that will fit between the brake drum and rim on rear bike tires with a straight (versus 90 degree) fill stem.

Unlike what some reviewers said, it works acurately and is easy to get a reading from. I do agree with the part that it is cheaply made, but it does not break if you are careful, and it is the best I forund for bikes. Not much of a choice out there.

Using this on a 2005 Roadstar. It is possible to use on the rear only if you bend the (small/stubby, straight) valve stems over a bit. Still hard to get a good seal every time. Gauge reads fine when you get a good seal however. Would like to see a gauge with a 100-110 degree head. Just a bit of a bend to avoid the brake rotors and still fit the stem.
Rating: pretty good gauge, bit bulky and won't fit all bikes. Recommended with reservations.

Digital readout, pretty simple to use. I don't run a lab so I can't speak on accuracy or precision/repeatability, however there is one area we all can see. From the design you would think you can hold the rubber part and use the tool. Nope. You hold the metal part to push onto the air valve, otherwise it won't seat. So the rubber is in the wrong place.

I got this to replace the wand-like inflator that came in a standard Craftsman tire inflation kit. I have used this once on all four tires and found it worked as advertised. It is easier to keep on the tire stem than the wand inflator. The clip didn't get in the way, though it may pull the hose out of alignment when set too far on the stem causing air to leak out of the tire. It is a nice feature, though, I don't have to hold it on the stem. The pressure gauge reading was high (but consistantly high) by about 2 pounds--easy to adjust for. Overall, a major improvement over my old inflator. I recommend it.

The chuck and clip design doesn't work on some of my tires; it won't go deep enough on the tire stem. I saw this mentioned in a few other reviews. Besides that, the spring in the clip slipped out yesterday and keeps popping out even after I disassembled/reassembled the clip - there is no detent to hold the spring's "foot" on the metal base so it slips out repeatedly . I'm going to buy another inflator...

Good about this tire inflator is the pressure release button. Bad is the "clip-on hands-free design" because it does not work: air is hissing out at all times because the hose is too stiff and too short hence pulling at the clip. The only way to use this unit is to keep the hose pressed onto the tire with one hand while making pressure adjustments with the other hand. I would give this unit 5 stars if it had a standard tire chuck with a 2 feet hose instead of this non-functional "clip-on" design.

I can use this on everything I operate for work or pleasure, from my truck to my Jeep to my bike. It seems to be within a pound of my other tire gauge, so I have to assume they're both accurate.
I agree with R. Mesta above. Get this gauge, get a different one, hey, get a cheap one to bring your order up for Super Saver Shipping, just get a gauge and keep an eye on your tire pressure.

My family and I hit the road quite often, so I got this bad boy to carry with us on the road. Being a gearhead myself, I definitely like the quality and the readout is easy to make out. Tires are indeed where the rubber meets the road ! Highly recommend this gauge, but even if you don't get _this_ one, be sure to always check your tire pressure !

When I first bought this gauge I found that it did not read accurately. I called into slime and talked to their great customer service. They let me know that the first couple of batches had a problem with the nose of the gauge and that they would send me a new one. I recieved my new one and it works great!!! What a great bargin gauge.

Quite simply, this product does not work. it will not accurately test tire pressure on a presta valve. I even carried it to my dealer to see if A) his tech guy could get it to work, and B) warn him to never purchase one. I am as disappointed with this product as I have ever been with a product. Especially since I paid extra shipping to get it sooner. Never, ever purchase this product. Unless you are a glutton for frustration.

I purchased one of these and agree with the other buyers of the product. The presta gauge does not work with 90% of all the presta valves the gauge has been used with in my inventory of bikes. Purchase a better product. This one is junk.

I have had a similar experience to the reviewer who says it works one 1 out of 5 times. Except that I've tried it about 10 times on two different brands of Presta tubes and have never gotten a reading (although sometimes I do get the 2.0 PSI rating). I suspect that it is not compatible with all brands of Presta tubes, although it certainly should be! I gave it 2 stars instead of one because Slime's customer service department was VERY helpful. They offered to exchange/refund the gauge if Amazon wouldn't. I got a replacement from Amazon with the exact same issue...I am contacting an online bicycle parts store and they said it is a new item and are offering to take one off the shelf, try it out and tell me what they find. If anything useful surfaces I will report it here.

this thing works about every 5th time (which is how i know that i'm not just using things incorrectly). the other 4 times it seems to just not push the stem down no matter how hard i press it on the valve, or how i play around with the locknut. so it just reads 0 or some very low (e.g., 2psi) pressure.

I'm responsible for checking fleet vehicles' tires. This device is simple to use and gives you accurate enough info. My only wish would be to have a 'cap' or carrying case of some sort. this is not a big deal, it's just that the end of the measuring tool sticks out and gets snagged on things. Again, not a big deal. If you need a tool to help with checking tire tread depth, this is hard to beat for the price.

Received this item a few days after ordering. Simple and does the job. Just beware, as others mentioned, they apparently soak these in WD-40 before packaging and shipping, so they will be oily upon opening. Other than that, I see the price has gone up $1.50 in the past week. Not sure why.
